Data processed and protected hereunder include any information (personal data) relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (the data subject, respectively), which can be directly or indirectly identified, in particular by referring to an identifier, such as the name, surname, identification number, location data, online identifier of that person or one or more physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity, or any other factors by using each of them individually or in any combination.

Data processing discussed herein means any operation or set of operations that is performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, where such operations may include the collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or any other kind of operation with data.

The website www.bedifferent.lv (hereinafter – the Website) collects data regarding the visitors of the Website, thus gaining an opportunity for the Website Operator to evaluate how useful the Website is and how it could be improved. The Controller is constantly improving the Website to increase its use, so the Controller needs to know what information is important to visitors of the Website, how often they visit the Website, what devices and browsers they use, what region visitors come from, and what content they like to read.

The Controller uses Google Analytics, which allows the Controller to analyse the use of the Website. The Controller uses the collected data for its own legal interests in order to improve the understanding of the needs of the visitors of the Website and to improve the availability of the information published by the Controller. The server hosting the Website can record requests sent by the visitor (device, browser used, IP address, access date and time). The data referred to in this paragraph is used for technical purposes: to ensure the proper functioning and security of the Website and to investigate possible security incidents. The basis for collecting the data referred to in this paragraph is the Controller's legal interest in ensuring the technical availability and integrity of the Website.

The Controller reserves the right to change these terms at any time. The visitor of the Website is obliged to independently check the content of the Website in order to get acquainted with the changes in the rules. The visitor of the Website has the right to inform the Controller or the Data State Inspectorate if they consider that their rights have been violated.
